Welcome Friends! I’m Shannon, a 48 year old mom of 2, middle school teacher, and passionate about helping women over 40 get stronger.  I've learned that healthy 

skeletal muscle improves your metabolic health, bone health and cognitive function.  In addition, it reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, and lessens the symptoms of arthritis. 

I have been actively strength training for the past 4 years, and believe it or not, I was afraid of lifting weight before that. 

I thought I was going to get bulky, or too big.  I didn’t know or understand the critical role muscle plays in our overall health as we age.  Not only is it important to build muscle, it is NECESSARY.  I will never stop, and I am committed to helping as many women over the age of 40 have the confidence to pick up weights and change their lives!
